Taking Part

To take part in SibSpeak, babies must:

    • be aged 9-18 months at the time of the first assessment.
    • be growing up in a home where English is the main language, although another language may also be spoken.

Unfortunately children are not eligible for SibSpeak if:

    • they have a known physical or developmental disability.
    • they have a visual or hearing impairment.
    • they do not hear English at home.
    • they were born more than 6 weeks prematurely.

If your child is younger than 9 months, you can still register an interest in taking part, although the assessment will not take place until they are older.

If you do not meet all these criteria but are still interested in taking part, please send me a message with further details and I will be able to let you know whether or not you are able to participate.

You can find out more information about what the assessment session involves on the tab entitled The SibSpeak Assessment, or you can sign up by visiting the Contact Us tab.
